Keeping a very young, starving and homeless Guns 'n Roses alive on beer and big Macs while they slept on the studio floor. A New Year's Eve party at the infamous "Motley House" when the road and the electricity were washed away by a monsoon but the guys from Motley Crue along with David Lee Roth and a bevy of girls survived on Jack Daniels and Roth's candlelight stories. And that's just the beginning!
About the Author: Michael J. Flaherty was a young Beverly Hills businessman who became fed up with the corporate world and decided to seek a new frontier. He found just that, quite by accident in what was the emerging metal rock scene of the early 80s.

This is a great book! As a die-hard Motley fan there was stuff in here even I hadn't heard about yet! Any fan of the 80s metal scene will get a kick out of this book! The stuff about the early Guns n Roses is an eye opener! The only thing bad about this book is it was not edited well. There are a few grammar mistakes.
By Blackiesharley (California, USA) - See all my reviews I have to agree with the first reviewer, it's an amazing read for anybody who is into the '80s metal scene.Best book out so far. What I liked the most about it is that it was fresh stuff, stories that were NOT rehashed. As much as I enjoyed the Motley Crue part, I really got a kick out of the Guns 'n Roses, W.A.S.P., and other bands of the time tales, and the club and girl stories were great. It's funny, too. Read it twice so far. It would make a great movie. I do also agree that a little more editing would have been nice, but hey, that's rock and roll. Doesn't really distract from the overall enjoyment value. Highly recommend!
